Chamber Ambassadors | Community Connectors & Business Advocates
The Chamber Ambassador Program is a volunteer leadership group made up of engaged Chamber members who serve as the welcoming face of the Chamber and a vital connection between local businesses and the organization.
Chamber Ambassadors help strengthen our business community by building relationships, supporting Chamber events, and ensuring members feel informed, valued, and connected. From attending ribbon cuttings and networking events to celebrating business milestones and assisting with outreach, Ambassadors play a key role in fostering a positive business climate.
Ambassadors act as business advocates, community connectors, and relationship builders, helping new and existing members get the most value from their Chamber investment. Through regular interaction with local businesses, Ambassadors also provide valuable feedback to the Chamber, helping us better serve the needs of our members.
Participation in the Ambassador Program is limited to ensure a dedicated and active group. Ambassadors commit to ongoing involvement through event participation, outreach efforts, and volunteer service, making them a visible and trusted presence throughout the community.
Objectives
- Serve as goodwill ambassadors to new/expanding businesses by hosting Ambassador Visits and ribbon cuttings
- Contact non-members year-round to encourage their membership.
- Carry out membership appreciation calls and visits throughout the year to thank Member-businesses for their support.
- Participate in area community parades, festivals and events promoting the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce.
- Serve as an Ambassador mentor to new Chamber members to introduce them to the events, councils or committees they can participate in as a Chamber member.

Megan Williams
Megan Williams is no stranger to Ambassador of the Month recognition, and it’s easy to see why. From leading Facebook Live visits to stepping into the role of Ambassador Chair, Megan consistently goes above and beyond to support our members and strengthen connections throughout the business community… When she’s not serving the Chamber, Megan is the Director of First Impressions at Insurance Associates, a role that perfectly reflects her welcoming personality and commitment to building relationships.

The Cadets Leadership Program is a Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce initiative designed to connect students with the local business community through structured leadership development and civic engagement.
Cadets serve as student ambassadors for the Chamber while gaining real-world professional experience, community exposure, and leadership skills that extend beyond the classroom.
This program is open to partnership with area colleges, technical programs, and high schools.
